House of Cars by jerm IX, on Flickr Been a while since I sat down and put together a new post as I've finally gravitated to different hobbies and projects. That is not to say I haven't been exploring and finding some gems along the road. Like this one, which is creepy as fuck. I don't have time to keep adding photos so if you'd like to check out one of Ontario's creepiest abandoned houses, click the goddamn link... http://jermalism.b...house-of-cars.html

Glad you're back. I lurked recently and was surprised that there was not any posts by you. Hope to see more stories and posts. - J
I'm a supporter of gay rights. & not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I've never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being. By the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is probably so low on the list that it is irrelevant. - Paul Newman |

Fabulous post. That "feeling of being watched" is one that I've only gotten in a few houses but it resonates so deeply and eerily....you got some great shots! I can't believe how much stuff was left behind that hasn't been pilfered yet....who knows, maybe someone has tried and that's when the "watchers" step in...yikes!! Thanks for the great stories/pics!
Urban exploring since getting chased out of an abandoned barn with my mother at the age of four by an angry farmer with a pitchfork. |

Thank you both very much, hard not to be motivated by such kind words.

What an amazing house! The collage with the Barbie doll and women in underwear seems really out of place.

Ya for sure. There is another bedroom that is really dark but stacked with boxes six feet high. Haven't dug into those YET!

WOW. I'd LOVE to accompany you on one of your future visits here, if you're into that kind of thing. I wouldn't even need to go into the place. Sure, I'm an urbex guy, but I'm more of a car guy. I could poke around that bowtie rod all day long...

My favorite part of the letter from Grandma was the line "I have given up the idea of getting a hearing aid for the time being as I have had an awful dose of the hives this week and they make me about half sick to my stomach so I don't feel like going to any Dr." The note about the young man who committed suicide set my imagination stirring too. That he shared a birth-name with the first cousin of the girl he got pregnant made me wonder if he he didn't discover something he'd wished he hadn't.
