this was my first trip to colorado and positively will not be my last. some friends and i rented a cabin outside of central city and spent a couple of days playing a disc golf course in the ghost town of russell gulch. russell gulch was a mining town that was left in relatively good condition when it was pretty much entirely abandoned ages ago. some dude basically bought a significant portion of what was left of the place and built his own disc golf course. reading on some forums and the like MANY people have said that if you are into playing random ass courses or truly unique ones - ghost town disc golf course is probably in every top 10 list ever created. its super fun and mixes in abandoned locations throughout the course. in fact - its a penalty if you hit any of the buildings, of which i nailed every last one of them. sorry for the shit photos - used my iphone for the majority of the photos in this set. also - sorry for the too wide for the uerZ panos and other iphone ridiculousness...

I must say, that's pretty badass. Makes me want to try discin' again.

looks fun!

I have played disc golf or frolf there. A very fun place and unique...

yeah it is unique if nothing else. a somewhat challenging course too - there are all manner of course "rules" that the dude who owns it/designed it/built it will go over with you before you start. its at 9500 feet too so smoking bud, cigarettes and drinking large amounts of beer made the elevation seem like 19,500 feet instead of 9500!

as a disc golfer I would love place like that.

Very cool. Love the glass water in the last shot. Would love to check this place out sometime. Seems serene.
