I drove by there the other day and was going to stop but didnt' get around to it. What is the current status? It's been in and out of development for a while, was going to get torn down at one point...

Beautiful set

I might be cool, but I'm far from a fan.

I'm not 100% sure of the status, all I know is that, despite there being what looked like a groundskeeper's residence right on the property, with two vehicles (one was clearly out of commission upon closer inspection though!) we did not see a soul around. I was wary at first because I figured someone must check on the property, especially with that nice looking house or residence nearby, but like i said, we did not see anyone. The place is in rough shape, but not as bad as it could be considering how long it has apparently been vacant. I saw a recent for sale listing, but there are no obvious 'for sale' signs on the property. There is a tall fence around it but it's navigable I thought it was totally worth the trip! Very beautiful!

It was! and such a gorgeous day! Once I realized we probably wouldn't get in trouble for being there, I found it super relaxing and peaceful

The first time I went there was probably 1986, or so. It was abandoned then, even. Good to know it's sort of accessible, at least. When I was up that way last time, I went to the LSS and did some wandering around that place. A good time, but everything was locked up tight as a drum.

That Weirs Beach graffiti is fantastic. Even if it is out of place and kind of ruining the beauty of this place. It reminds me of being a kid.
