No need to worry about that with the deer trail silo, that place is really falling apart. Everytime I go it looks worse and worse from my last trip. Eventually something is going to cave in
I can't think of anything witty to say in my signature. Is this better than leaving it blank? |

i fully expect that from the pics of it- one difference i see between Colorado titan pics and California ones- the tunnels are egg shaped out there, but here they are still round- it was discussed in the original modifications pdf i viewed- also why the colorado sites have the big posts welded into tunnels near junctions, and california ones dont, SNOW - the ground gets wet, and covered with tons of snow, western sites didnt have that problem (california and washington)

Massive, yeah. Each missile was ~10 stories tall.

May want to disinfect your phone before you bring it to your face again since a potentially disease-carrying rodent was sitting on it.

Dang. Seeing pictures like these make me wish we had old Silos here in Utah. Or do we? 0.o

IIRC, the missile in that silo was the one they had temporarily set up in civic center park.

The campus was huge! Took us 4 hours to see everything. Even ran into some other explorers. Lots of standing water tho so watch where you put your foot. Is there pictures of the missile at the civic center?

Only one I could find, courtesy of the Denver Eye: I think my parents may have a couple pics of it, too. I'll ask 'em next I see 'em.

How far could you see down into the silos? Last time I was there water was up to maybe one or two stories down. :/

That's pretty neat looking. But also looks like an eyesore for the Capitol building. The water was pretty low if I remember right. Looked likes pretty decent drop to it. I'd say maybe 10 stories? There was one, the first one, where the water level was right at the hallways. Causing them all to have about a foot of water in them.
