Not really. Depends on the owner. One bonus is those are tuff engines and drive trains. Also would rather swap a motor than battle rust.

when I lived in Tennessee, I worked part-time for a salvage yard on US 27 in Evensville. We cooked up a scheme where we were going to bring rust-free truck bodies/boxes up north and sell them (I had a guy all ready to line up customers in Glens Falls NY) and we were going to bring back engines and transmissions. See, down there, it's the fucking heat that kills them. It's so fucking hot down there all the damn time. Engines and transmissions just about last forever up here (if they're serviced properly), but the bodies rot quickly. We never got it off the ground because we could never get a driver that didn't have a criminal record to drive that far (19 hours).

The floors in the Cherokees rust BAD I've seen a few very well taken care of and garage kept that had serious rust issues under there.

See, now you could just put the runs you need on uship.com and they show you all you need that the driver is legal and safe.

I know its been like 8 months since this was last looked at, but just updating, I have finally upgraded, ended up buying a 2010 chevy equinox, complete opposite to what I was looking into at the beginning of this. may not be the best choice out there but for what I need it for, price, condition of it, and the complete better than everything that the caliber offered. I couldn't resist

well I set my price @ 15000 limit and in my area with the kilometres and everything it has, it's awesome in my books, though coming from a caliber anything is really, plus more power more room, and damn good mpg has everything I need

yea I did research on it, the only issue that I could find on it was the fact that the computer would tell you to do an oil change at like 15k instead of 5 or 7.5k, which meh I usually never believe the computer anyways. I was also looking at the forester, but they run on timing belts and it was at 92k, screw spending $1k so soon

i thought Subaru went to timing chain... the 2015 Impreza I looked at was a timing chain engine.

And stop it... she's 65 years old and wanted something small, Chevrolet and AWD.
