Hey so I'm new to the world of UE and I'm 15 , so no car ( nothing in biking distance that I've found ) and looking around old buildings with my parents isn't an attractive idea . Would any one mind telling me how they started ? Maybe give some tips ? Thanks

Are you in a city with transit, or out in the countryside? Makes a huge difference both ways.

I think your best bet is going to be public transportation or finding another explorer in your area that you could ride with. I started while I was going to college in Columbus and didn't have a car. We could ride the bus for free with our student ID card so that's how I got to most of my early locations.

Yeah - if there's another explorer near you, try to make friends & pitch gas money, baked treats, etc. (whatever you got, basically). I'm not a proponent of mooching rides & destinations as a long-term strategy, but when you're young & starting out there's not much choice. Just try to contribute something along the way.

lol. Started out looking around old buildings with my mom.
I don't know your parents, but it might not be as unattractive as you think. Old people know other old people who own and/or work in old buildings.

Parents can also be a wealth of information and/or practicality.

My dad gave me a whole bunch of safety equipment when I told him about my hobbies - not all of it useful, but the thought was nice.

Here's a tip, some my best finds have been by riding transit through areas I've never been before, try that to start, you might be surprised what appears when you really open your eye's.

Me and my group of explorers have become accustom to biking or busing everywhere and then ditching our bikes before we bushwhack or sneak into where we are going to explore. I recommend finding a group of friends that are also willing to make the treks that are needed to discover cool and new places. If you get and bus pass and explore enough you can easily pay for your buss pass within a few months of exploring (thats what I did). Now one of my friends has a car so we always pile inside to go places.

Good luck!
