When in the middle of the prairies, your exploration options are a bit limited. However, there is a certain mystique in discovering and exploring the many abandoned farmhouses that dot the landscape. Exploration is a family affair and on a recent afternoon we managed to explore several locations within an hour’s drive of home. While I am new to the UER site, we’ve been exploring for several years now. I'm hardly a photography but thought I would share some pics. 1.

Most of my favorite abandonment's are outside the city, I like when there's lots of overgrown vegetation. Bonus if its industrial. Over Grown by the germ, on Flickr IMG_3576 by the germ, on Flickr DPP_0087 by the germ, on Flickr

There is certainly a rustic charm to exploring out in the boonies. Enjoyed your pics on Flickr germ. Inspired to get some industrial shots, good opportunities out my way!

So modest, these country boys. #8 particularly thoughtful.

No. My daughter set our point and click digital camera to the "Magic" setting. I didn't know it at the time!
