Set from a recent explore to one of the coolest hospitals I've ever been to.

Enjoy!

The pictures aren't bad, you just need to work on your exposure time. Some are way too dark. Besides that, nice set.

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, I'm going for that aesthetic. I guess I tend to like the opposite of the really bright and sometime over-HDR'd looks of many urbex photos. Not a rag on those kinds of photographers, but my eye just tends towards different things.

Appreciate the perspective though, I'm still learning!

Since when did cameras come with a creepy setting? These pics are straight out of a horror movie & I mean that in a good way. A few were a little too dark but the others were spot on for a psych center. If the camera has a manual mode, pop it in that and either adjust the exposure time (longer for more light) or the aperture opening if you have that setting. I'm still a DSLR rookie but it takes time to dial it in.

One thing that's worked for me is to use my flashlight to illuminate something for the camera to focus on & when it's locked, turn off your flashlight and let the camera do the rest

Appreciate that you got such a reaction from some of them. Sorry that you guys found some to be too dark, actually, the dark ones are some of my favorites. I always shoot in manual, these were all shot with aperture and exposure (and ISO) taken into consideration. Sorry that the darker ones don't jive with you.

The lighting and vantage points in theses are amazing. I also like the darker and gloomier look and feel to these

Don't apologize!

Really, I dig too many to even bother checking which. Keep it up!

Mary...?!

My first thought was 'wtf are these so dark' too, but it grew on me fast. There's still a lot of detail in those darker shots and I don't feel like they look underexposed, for the most part. The bright parts are still bright, and I bet they're spectacular on a better screen than I'm looking at right now. My mobile machine isn't terrible, but it's not the brightest or best res. Two is my favourite. Lovely explore, glad I got to have a peek.

I think the darkness emphasizes the quite stillness of the place.

Every single one of these shots is underexposed except for maybe 28. The only one that is does anything for is 30.
