House of Blood and Pain

I've been gone for far too long, I'm back now. This is for you..........

1 Sometimes the Blood Trail You Follow Home is Your Own

2 i turn away from the light

3 Thoughts on Dying Alone

4 Something is Amiss

5 Let the Bodies Hit the Floor...........

6 Degrees of Separation

7 Blood Splatter

8 The Last Stand

9 Loose Ends

10 A messy Job

11 And Bonus pic is.... A frightened morning dove on her nest. Unfortunately for her it seems she is lacking in nest building skills and has lost two of her eggs. Better luck next time, nature springs eternal.

These are shots I took on a trip out of state some time ago and am just now getting around to posting ( I'm a lazy bastard, I know). I think that many of us in our explorations have come across SWAT or police training sites in abandoned buildings, blanks and empty shell casings and the what not. Sometimes there will even be posters on the walls for live fire exercises, I have a good one of a woman with a hand gun and they shot her at least nine times in the boobs but they missed the head shot. Go figure. Anyway, this was the first time I've come across a blood splatter analysis exercise and it was all fascinating, horrifying and grotesque at the same time. All of the rooms in the building were set up as different types of incidents that forensics experts could come across and need to analyze. Very realistic and disturbing to wander through and even more so when you realize that this is the reality of what they will deal with on the job. Glad my job doesn't involve the daily horrors.

Enjoy all

Holy shit. I like to think I'd have recognized stumbling on something like this was an exercise but it might have taken me a bit to put it together, after an initial period of WTF HAPPENED HERE?! THIS IS NOT THE USUAL KIND OF HORROR FILM I STUMBLE ON.

Fantastic photos though. I love the black and white of the hallway. And that sad plant.

Love your set. So cool to see how realistic and extensive their training is. I don't envy them.

Thank you everyone, you all too kind. It was rather bizarre coming across this, it kind of went from WTF just happened here to feeling like walking through a movie set. There was so much more that I didn't even get a chance to photograph. I could have spent the rest of the day just trying to figure out their systematic approach to measuring everything and calculating trajectory. Good times.

Ha Ha it is about time isn't it? Man I've got such a backlog of stuff to edit that has just been slacked on but Ill do my best to keep cranking em out as long as the beer supply lasts Its time to get back on the road again by the way, lets do it.

Thanks roachqueen, it was surprising to find several slugs in the walls like that.

Fantastic set Once-ler! I agree with crows, don't know if I'd be able to decipher that it was an exercise, I'd probably freak the fuck out first. What made you realize that it was an exercise and not a massive crime scene?

Definitely would be pretty crazy to stumble upon this. I thought it was all legitimate while looking through but became a bit confused as to why there were so many splatters! Nice fine.
