This is Crazy! They look like they were once new homes that no one ever lived in. Were they built on a toxic dump site? Whats with? Spill the beans Man!

The guy was committing fraud with the bank and was stealing millions. Bank caught on, guy was arrested and the bank discontinued the project. Now they just sit here. They're in pretty decent shape too which is sad.

I thought the same thing.

Ah, the macabre aftermath of greed, excess & shady dealings. Seems like it could be a squatters paradise. Did you happen to see the condition of the inside? I, too, am perplexed by the lack of roads....or driveways. Sweet find. Nice set. Keep up the good work.
Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are. |
|
The insides were built for the most part and were in decent shape. They would just have to be cleaned and work could continue.

Gov't builds roads, probably didn't have a reason to if a scammer was behind the project.

Yea. Thing is there are a ton of houses built and some are almost completely finished. There was one road made, the rest is dirt.

Looks as if a giant UFO hovered right on top of this neighborhood and sucked all the yuppies out of their tract homes, minivans, sidewalks and all. Oh well at least we can dream..

You have an awesome imagination, sir ^ This place looks like a ghost town... that never will be. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I work for a development company that builds master planned communities in Houston (and surrounding areas), and I have never seen a section open up with home construction before the streets are poured. Very strange indeed.
