Inside a large TB Hospital

Once again, arsytee and I decided to explore, but this time - a risky building. Surrounded by homes and shops, this hospital is in the middle of people's daily commutes. The hospital's grounds takes up 10% of the city it is located in and is very visible over the trees. To make it worse, the complex is patrolled by security guards that will call the police if anything suspicious is noticed.

We made it though. In and out - without any complications and boy was it worth it. This was probably one of the creepiest buildings we've explored. Besides the risk of being caught, there was the fact that a deadly disease was fought here, with many unknown fluids and needles left all over the place. We wore respirators here as there were warning signs of asbestos and, of course, lots of biohazardous material.

In one of the rooms, we ran into something interesting. Even though there was no power to any of the lights, we found a single AC unit that was blowing semi-cold air. We didn't bother to play with it and see if any others were able to be turned on, but after that, we knew there was power in some places and to stay out of electrical boxes. Upon leaving the building, a big storm was blowing in and a few outside lights by the parking lot started to flicker to life as well.

We were going to do a cinematic video, but we felt that with security, the storm, and lights beginning to turn on outside, it was best to just get out of there. Maybe one day we will go back and make that cinematic video, but for now we only have an exploration video which will be online in the next few weeks.

Here are my pictures from the explore!

1.

A water tower was in the center of the complex that read "health".

2.

Parts of the building were still under construction doing renovations while the hospital was shut down. Opened in 1950, closed in 2012.

3.

A hazmat suit in a protective covering warning of the dangerous fibers in the air.

4.

A storage room with a Christmas tree.

5.

A creepy maintenance elevator in the dark.

6.

A spilled box of red biohazard medical jars.

7.

Parts of the bottom floor were large rooms for storage of medical equipment. Lots of damage.

8.

In one of the offices, there was a board with pictures of people who worked at the hospital.

9.

Beds and stretchers are left in the hallways.

10.

Uniforms and other equipment scatters the building.

11.

12.

13.

This hospital was known to be one of the best tuberculosis hospitals in the nation.

14.

Now, it is an empty memory, left to fall apart.

15.

16.

Lots of old interesting medical equipment still remains.

17.

And some creepy items from the patients.

18.

19.

20.

A vault door that guarded many containers with medicine.

21.

Inside the vault.

22.

This is the table they would do autopsies on.

23.

Dead bodies were stored in here.

24.

25.

This is the gas supply room.

26.

27.

28.

29.

30.

Clocks all over the place still had working batteries and told correct time.

31.

32.

Pews from the chapel somehow ended up in this room.

33.

A jar of unknown fluid.

34.

35.

36.

37.

The hospital closed on July 2nd, 2012.

Wow I'm stupid. I didn't intentionally mean to do that. I didn't include the name in the post but completely forgot about some of the pictures. All fixed now.

Wish the autopsy table would of came out lighter. But, this is a cool explore with creepy monkey man, surgical suit hanging in the hallway, and the U Will Die message on the board. Really like the B&W #34.

^I don't think the video gives that much away, the place is clearly visible from the street so locals must know about it already anyway.

The location isn't exactly a secret anyway. It was all over the news since it's closing was turned into a political thing. The place was in pretty bad condition too, obviously if a place isn't vandalized yet we'd be a lot more protective of it. Sick gif though bro, your gif game is out of control.
