A Trip to the Painted Grain Silos

A friend and I found ourselves in the neighborhood (It's literally in the middle of a neighborhood) of the ever so famous grain silos with the murals on them. I'd known they were abandon and convinced him to come along. Not too many pictures, but of note was a rock wall(9) that someone had installed and wooden plank under a ladder to the roof(5, 6, 7) that had definitely been set up by someone, potentially someone on this forum? We were unsatisfied with the wooden plank leaning on a wall, so we moved a ladder for easier access(10), but never actually went up as the higher ladder was no longer attached to the wall on its right half(Can vaguely see this in photo 7). There was also a substantial amount of male marijuana plants just chillin on the property, didn't get any pictures of them though.

That was the main reason my friend and I were there, no luck. We looked around quite a bit, and there are some doors but they're pretty well sealed. I'd be down to go take a second look at the place sometime though.

HINT:

A 5/16" nutdriver is helpful.

Look for self-drilling screws.

In order to use your head, you have to go out of your mind.

OK, when I was the last, there was sheet metal over the POE, secured with self-drilling screws.

Was just there, can confirm no tools required. Maybe some boots though. And an iron stomach. It smelled so bad, it was all I could do to keep from vomiting in my mask at certain points X(

Yeah that smell can get pretty bad. We have been twice. The first time was really bad because it had been humid. The second time was quite a bit better because it was cool outside
