in the 1950's smaller ski resorts called " Ski Hills" littered the northeast, by the 1990's most of them had been left abandoned, this is what once was a popular fun day on the hill

Hahahahaha im laughing so hard at the prices! Being I worked at a ski resort up here in the NW and tho I do realize this is how old, I cant believe how cheap prices were 20+ yrs ago. God your lucky to find one below $35 nowadays. (atleast around me) Good find and really must feel in a way historical walking around imagining people skiing and snowboarding.

There was a small hill like this in CT it was closed for like 4 years and just re-opened this past year. If it was still $6 i'd check it out.

Wow I cannot believe that website has Red Jacket Ski Hill!!
http://www.nelsap.org/ny/redjacket.html

I grew up down the road from this place, it had been closed damn near as long as I can remember. We used to go sledding here in the winter, until we usually got kicked out by the guy who lives in the old lodge. Was a cool place to go in the summer to as it had a great view. There is a creek and waterfall with a old mill at the bottom of the hill as well. There is not much left of the ski lift or the mill, but next time I am out at my parents house I will have to take a walk down there and take some pictures. Happy to see it was included in the database!
