A trip to a fairly well known spot, this astro turf manufacturer has been closed for quite some time. The power plant is currently undergoing a federal asbestos abatement program and has 24/7 sheriff patrol of the property. For those of you who don't understand how that works... The government will, from time to time, "fund" asbestos abatement programs. The owners of the property have no say in the matter. A small house (1500 sq feet) can cost 20-30 thousand dollars if asbestos products were used in the floors, ceilings, and walls. You can imagine what the costs would be for 100,000 plus square foot facility built when almost all building materials and insulation had asbestos in it. I'm all for clean water, clean air, etc etc... But I have a problem when the Government enforces programs that they fail to enforce on their own properties. How many schools, hospitals, power plants, etc are owned by local/state/federal agencies and are allowed to slowly rot away for years because "there isn't money in the budget"?

Well it's been going on for quite a few months, and from what I could tell... Its not looking much different. Could be a year or two just based on the "progress" I have witnessed. But that is a COMPLETE guess on my part, it could be done in a month for all I know. And thank you, glad you like the bonus image

Beautiful. "Fallen soldier" looks like you could almost be looking down; very disorienting (in an interesting way).

Nice shots, dude. LOVE all the reflection shots. That big wad of green in 15 is cool, too.

That's cause you are looking down, it's an elevator shaft ;) It's a wide angle with a little bit of barrel distortion and a bit of stretch on perspective from not being centered in the shaft. Glad you commented, cause I like it for it's "interesting" nature as well.
