Letchworth Village

Hello all, I'm new here and I have just went on my first urban exploration experience. I have gone to a little village near my house and taken pictures of the outside of the houses but never to an institution and never inside until now. I plan on going back here in the future because I only saw about a third of the buildings, maybe less.
This place closed it's doors in 1996. There has been a lot of damage done and at least one fire that destroyed one of the main buildings.

That was a cool place to visit. A lot of folks put it down because everything is supposed to look like Hudson but I enjoyed my time there.
Bird, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us when you stop using the forum's photo linking crap and ease up a little on the fish-eye abuse. Your first photo blows my fuckin' mind!
Welcome to the fun palace!

By photo linking crap, you mean how it shows small pics and then blows them up when you hover over them? I saw that and didn't like how that works. I didn't know before.. As for the fisheye, I kinda like it and it's the only wide lens I have. I do plan on getting a wide angle lens without the distortion, hopefully soon because I don't want to over do the fisheye. There were only 3 pictures I uploaded that were with the fisheye lens anyway. To each there own..

It's a great back-up when New York's OMH throws you out of Rockland.

This place is fun, I need to go back. I picked the day it was in single digits with a crazy windchill to go. And as such my interiors stank it up. Although the snow provided for some lovely exteriors.

Welcome and awesome photos. I look forward to more!

I've been to Letchworth before. Very nice, quiet area where you aren't really bothered. I didn't go into any structures when I was there, but it didn't look too hard, either

this place looks AWESOME! Is it in NY?

I need a new spot to check out personally...

nice shots too! The HDR stuff is trendy and I do like some of it, I am also a fan of the wide angle too, but less so of the HDR. Like you said though, to each their own!

Welcome to UER!!
