Though there were rumors the mafia bought this place for a little while, hid bodies in the walls then sold it, all we found was a renovation gone abandoned.. And a few Amish people on the way there... 1.

Haha, if this is the place I think it is I must have missed it by a few weeks. We were up that way and researching some places to check out and found out about this, which was like 15-20 minutes from where we were. Drove there only to find a massive mountain of collapsed building

The land where it used to be looks so sad now. Nice pics

Its the hardest thing in the world to see empty space where a majestic building once stood

Very cool pictures! Pretty bummed that I missed out on the majority of the resorts. Me and a friend drove 5 hours each way a few months back to check out Grossingers and a few other smaller places. Still plenty to see in the area, but I wish I could have gone there 10 years ago.

I'll never forget traipsing around that place separated from everyone else, it was such an oddity in every way. Rural yet ghetto surroundings it seemed like, in the middle of nowhere.
