I watched a video on this posted on youtube a while back about this place. I always wondered where it was because I too wanted to explore it.. DISCLAIMER - Not looking for info, just a general statement.

Fantastic pictures!! Bad news though about the activity.

Good news!

Went back to the site and bulldozers, and the trailers that were fresh on the site are GONE! Things are as quiet as ever again.

So, went camping on the site this past weekend and want to give a warning for those who know the site.

Now, this could have been there before as I've never ventured to this part of the facility, but the dirt road south of the cooling tower has a microwave radar and a camera facing east. They looked new.

I suspect the radar can actually capture movement from the south edge of the cooling tower. After seeing it from the south end of the cooling tower, a patrol car came through the area about 15 minutes after.

Maybe this info isn't new, I don't have access to update the site location, but encourage someone to do it, if it's not already listed.

If anyone has any recent information on this site please PM me.
We're making a 2000 mile round trip to New Orleans to check out the Six Flags and this is on the way.

From what I've gathered this is gonna be quite the mission, I'm fine with that. My only issue is finding a safe reasonable place to park. If we weren't on limited time and so far from home I'd do the groundwork myself but am just looking for a bit more recent information.

Thanks!
