This house used to set on the main intersection in my town. The main intersection. Then about 20 years ago, Mazzio's Pizza bought the property and had the house moved. Unfortunately for the house, it was moved out into a field in the middle of town, left at the mercy of nature and the local kids. At one time it looks like it was a very nice home. Not much left of it now. Big House
Entry, I opened the ice chest...shouldn't have.
The whole house is on cinder blocks.
The original front door. Outside it's covered in tin.
Only thing not taken was built into the house.
Great view...
I'm sure at one time this was a nice cabinet door.
The stairs were sketchy at first. Very creaky.
Just too heavy to take.
Though I don't know why the moving company didn't move it.
The whole place is covered in bird crap. Except this room. Swept clean.
Still sketchy.
The neighbors (or land owners) watching the weirdo with the camera.

Too bad it's not being used, good size house. Got a kick out of the last shot.

Yeah, my friend was with me, he was still upstairs and I had made my way down. He flipped and hit the deck like the cops were out there. I couldn't help myself, I just leaned around the window and got a pic of them.

That house looks like it's been through a tornado and dropped off in a field to create future urban explorers that will one day come here to talk about a house that was left in a field by some pizza place. Thanks for sharing these great photos, nun humper.

Funny you said that, there is a house that I noticed just today, in one of the nicer neighborhoods in town, that was damaged by a 'nader a year and a half ago. It is on the edge of inhabitable, so I couldn't tell if someone lived there, or if it was left. I plan on going to have a close-up look tomorrow to see if anyone is still using it. If no one is living inside, I plan on going in.

Such a shame so much is damaged and missing. Those old craftsman style houses are really something special.

That's true, Cherokee, it's a shame, but I do like going in and seeing these old homes once abandoned.
