(Trying to not give away the exact location, but I'm certain those of you who know of it will guess what I'm speaking of when you read the title and the nearby streets)
On google maps I've spotted a couple interesting landmarks, but I'm questioning if it's even worth the drive and mile and a half hike to get to it.
Here's what is in question:
And searching this area I've read it's soon to be demolished.

Not really worth it. They're all gutted. Nothing interesting to shoot inside. The adjacent buildings have some cool things to see though. Pretty easy access too.

The chapel is being renovated right now and the movie theater will be gone before too long, I presume. The mess halls, shown here in Siper's photos, are to become art spaces. They gotta clean the area up a bit sharpish before those shiny new homes become occupied.

The chapel is the home base/office for the developers and includes a mock-up of the new development and the surrounding area of the east garrison. I have not been here in some time but the mock-up included the theater in the development plans....we'll see.
You can see the model theater just to the left of the center.
If you can get to the theater and shooting range. They are probably the best part.

I think sometime during the Summer I'll have to take a stop by some of these spots then. I've been to the endless amounts of barracks, the county jail, and the church and surrounding housing units next to the ice skating arena.

That shooting range will likely be gone soon also, they already demolished the range to the West of it.

If you enter from the farm side...that gate has been simply zip tied "shut" many times. Not so sure about these days.
I want to get up to the top of the cliff and check out those houses/bldgs.
I drove from the ranger hut all the way to the pool over the dirt and comical rock barriers they tried to set up. Then again I was in a lifted 4x4.

Definitely go see whats left of that side before it's gone...it's not epic, but you should go at least once...
