This is in lexington. Constructed in 1880, this distillery was the only fully operational whiskey distillery in Fayette County, Kentucky, during the post-Repeal era. It stands as the sole expression of the local industrial heritage to survive Prohibition. the plant distilled for the last time on November 11, 1918, though continued functioning as a concentrated warehouse site for whiskey during Prohibition from 1920-1934. It's been abandoned since sometime in the 70's i'm told after it was just a warehouse. 1.
