Don't Go Into That Barn

Just a quick lunch break explore. Nothing fancy, but I am enjoying my new camera!

This is an old barn near my office that is used quite a bit by local photographers for portraits. I thought this would be a good opportunity to check settings and get out for once... I had never bothered to look in the house before. Nothing much in it, just some wretched old blinds.

The reason I bothered this time was that I saw the dreaded "new development coming soon" sign. Looks like the local portraits will be taken elsewhere soon.

Thanks! I'm really trying to up my game lately.

I'm in Moore, so most of my exploits are in that area.

Love these old OK farmhouses & barns. The doll and tattered curtains conjure up forgotten nostalgia. Very, very nice set. Thanks for sharing.

Those photos are beautiful. The only thing that I missed about OK when I moved to Florida, other than the friendliness, was all the old, abandoned structures that will never be destroyed for a condo. Nice shots.

Samurai ability to enter any establishment...thanks grandpa for all the training.

I thought that was cool. Reminded me of Charlie in the Box:

I didn't take a bunch of shots from inside the barn. The structure was best seen from the outside, as a lot of them are here. However, "Defragging" is from a door inside the barn, so I guess that counts.

I agree. It may not have the symmetry and strength of an industrial site, but there's something elegant about old Southern necessities.

Funny you say that, because it's actually set to be demolished soon. Looks like even Oklahoma is susceptible to "improvements".

I appreciate the nice comments everyone! More to come!
