Hey guys! I have absolutely fallen in love with draining. And I have noted the drains on the public database as well as a few small ones I've found on my own. Do any of you know of some awesome drains in the Denver, Boulder, Longmont or surrounding areas? If so, please comment or private message me. I would be VERY much appreciative and happy. =)
ps- I've hit up Main Drain, the Broadway Drains in Boulder, the Sugar Mill tunnel in Longmont, and the Children's Museum, Aquarium, and the two drains near the skate park in Denver. So no need to mention those.

The reason you're being stonewalled is that these sorts of posts don't do well- especially in a public thread. Let me break it down:
Both the forums and the DB have large sections only viewable by full members. Notice how my flair shows an icon that I've added more than 5 locations to the DB- but you can only see four. This should be your clue that something is up. The best way to get to FM status is to do some explores, write them up with pictures and then try and meet locals for a recommendation. Meetups are good, get one together!
But, despite that FM system, many (if not most) good things are not in the DB. You gotta find these on your own or get to know locals who will show you and help you out. It's not a quick thing, but the right attitude does wonders.
So, try going about things in two different ways. First, organize a meetup! Getting yourself known and meeting other explorers in person will do more than anything else. It can be rough at first, but you just gotta stick with it. I've heard several people jonesing for a meetup- make it happen!. Second, trying researching people and things you haven't seen and finding who did the explore. Private message that person and talk to them, it often goes better that way. I've explored across the world with that second technique- but it helps that I have some cred. It's similar to the classic getting a job problem: you need experience for the job, but you need a job for experience. Same deal. Same solutions too. Get lucky, or work to make things happen on your own until something breaks.
Anyway, I hope that helps. I think you mean well, but UER people don't respond well to blatant information requests- and that's not a flame war you want to start. Good luck!

I disagree.
I travel a lot. When I travel, I don't want to spend hours on a map trying to find things- I want to tour the cool things in a city without wasting a bunch of time on dead ends. People show me things all the time.
If you want to not have handouts, that's fine. Keep to yourself. Tourism isn't always bad, some of us just like to see neat things. I don't get much out of finding things for myself on google maps- I usually just want to see cool things and hang out with fun people.
This 'find it yourself fuck you' business is stupid, it's just elitist crap. There are good arguments to be made for keeping locations secret, but this isn't one of them.

Thank you. Thinking back on it now I realize I should have not posted that publicly. My apologies and I'll remember not to do that again. =)
And I am networking with fellow urban explorers and trying to get in touch with some more experienced ones and do a meet up. We had one planned but it fell through. Thanks again for the advice!

I wasn't telling him to fuck off. The way he phrased his post made it sound like he was asking for people to post locations. I have no problem with people messaging each other telling each other locations, but I'm not so keen about posting locations on a public forum (handouts). Sorry if that came off as elitist.

Ah, I can see how it would seem that way. I meant it as more asking for a private message, I wasn't asking to add more locations to the database and I don't know why I said "or comment" locations...that was a stupid comment on my part.
Again, my apologies for stirring up a fuss, that was not my intention. Promise my intentions were good, just not thought through well or done the right way. Drains aren't too hard to find, so I'll continue my mission of finding one y'all have yet to discover. I've learned a lot though about commenting and posting, so thank you all for this learning experience as well.

If you want to use Google Maps as a decent way to find places, make sure to set it as the "Classic Google Maps". The most recent update in the last year or so took away the aerial view feature (as far as I know).
