Greetings all, i hope you can find some enjoyment out of these photographs. Me personally, photos just never successfully capture what i take in being there. Anyways, enough of that. In 1966 the Schlitz Brewery opened up this new location. In 1977 profits were dropping, and in 1982 Stroh's bought the company for $500 million. For an interesting read on Schlitz. check here. http://www.beercon...he-fall-of-schlitz A few years in the 80's at this brewery Stroh's produced the most barrels of beer annually in Texas. Eventually the debts from acquiring Schlitz became too heavy, and Stroh's sold out to Pabst-Miller in 1999. Article on Stroh's. http://www.funding...y-company-history/ This location has been abandoned since. Wow guys, i apologize with the quality of these pictures, when resizing them i had some troubles. My friend Gman12 will be getting a lot more up and should have them with good quality. It's late and this is what i'm going with. Credit to Gman12 for the title of this post.

Look like a great place.
Try using Flickr or photobucket to upload your pics to the forum. You won't have to resize them and they won't be in the "click to view" thumbnail size.

I love me an abandoned brewery. Mmm.

Breathtaking. Excellent work! Brings me back to PA's first brewerie that lied abandoned in my hometown until it was torn down in '07. You can see it in the Erie, PA database, as it has been demolished.

no lonely chair, no broken shitter. try again.
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |
|
It may not have a broken shitter or a lonely chair, but it does have a door to death.

It's too bad they brewed the worlds worst beer here. Nice find though.

I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't going to say it, this time. Glad someone else did though.
Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools speak because they have to say something. |

Man, brewing beer looks complicated! Nice set
