Sorry to be a downer, but EVERYTHING from Jeep this year reeks of shit. Design is shit, interior is bullshit, the engines are shit at best. The only thing still good for Jeep is the Wrangler, and even that has gone soft the past couple generations. I wonder when they'll file for Chapter Xx bankruptcy and fire everyone.

Thats the thing - jeep started out as a military vehicle company, same as land rover, The difference being land rover albeit unreliable, has maintained its off road abilities, where as some of the recent jeep models would crumple on a rocky ungroomed road.

I dunno, we were at the auto show and went for a ride in a Cherokee. They took it over a bunch of obstacles and stuff and it did pretty well. They even had it on two wheels at one point.

Just read about this in my new Car and Driver... I kind of like it! It's more capable than the Cherokee off road too... better departure angles, higher ride, etc. My favorite part is that the base engine is ONLY available with a 6 speed manual.
