A classic, 10 years ago: Le Chateau de Noisy - Miranda

The Castle of Noisy - Miranda : back in 2004, deep within the passionate online forums I first discovered the Castle of Noisy. A haunting vision, existing as if it was plucked directly from the tale of Sleeping Beauty.
It had everything to please me and was still relatively intact at that time, except for the stolen floorboards and it's ageing décor, now sadly infested with dry rot.

Over the years I saw the castle decay, little by little, slowly turning into a ruin.
Time, arsonists and looters causing substantial damage over the last ten years.
Now, in the beginning of 2014, the castle is about to be demolished.
People around the globe are upset, angry, petitions to save the building have failed and campaigns within the media have fallen upon deaf ears.
It's probably a little bit too late, past the point of no return.

A noble cause? In the meantime the respectable castle continues to sit, awaiting it's fate, slowly dying.
Time for an update!

Damn that's nice. Thanks for the look and I hope they manage to save it.

#1,2 and 15 have an odd look to me. Can't quite put my finger on it, but its sort of flat. Really liking the rest.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

You have a lot of great images! I particularly like 9, 12, 13, and 14. Here are a couple suggestions:

13, why b&w? I feel like I'm losing some crucial, potentially beautiful pieces of information. b&w helps convey the age, almost placing the photo in a time when the castle may have been used, but it's still apparent the place is falling apart. I think color may bring the more interesting parts of the image to the viewer's focus, like the sun and tower.

14, LOVE IT. That chair is eerily beautiful. The effect with the light comes off really well, but I think bring the shadows out just a tiny little bit on the left side will make it more viewer-friendly, and won't leave us squinting and clawing to see what else is the room.

I really wanna go to this place...

13: the photo was totally burnt by the sun - only way to recover it was b&w...

if you wanna go here - hurry up, it will be demolished, soon...
