This race track was built in 1985 and held its last race in 2005. What was once a local gathering spot has now become a vandals paradise. At the end of my visit here I walked to my car to realize I was blocked in by a pickup truck with a few not-so-friendly looking guys. I explained I was just a photographer interested in the history of the place. Turns out one of the guys was the care-taker. He said that in the past two weeks he had four groups of scrappers arrested there. The property is owned by a brother and sister out of Dallas. They sold off the bleachers and fences and were in the process of of selling off the rest when the local scrappers decided to join in on the fun. Enjoy!
