Cool location with barely anything left inside but barely any signs of visitors past its closure

Cool find!

Thanks! It took me forever to get into this place, it was well worth it

You're not kidding about "barely anything left inside." Still, looks like a decent spot to drink a sixer.

Yeah, the city completely cleaned the place out and probably moved everything to the newer Rehab hospital not far away from the abandoned one

|
Wow, that's a nice location. Any idea how long it's been vacant?
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |
|
Thanks, it closed in late 2009

Did you set up that "get out" thing yourself, or did you find it there?

Nice. I'd love to explore this place, but I'd be nervous as hell about getting caught.

WOW! what is that stainless pool/bath/mixer thing?
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |
|
The stainless steel bathtub thing is called a hydrotherapy tub. I'm not sure what they're used for now, but in the past they were used for a procedure called shock-wave lithotripsy. Patients would sit in the tub filled with water and a machine would deliver shock waves through the walls of the tub to break up kidney stones inside the body. Pretty interesting.

Nice Nice! Great to see a site free of vandalism. Shame it's so empty, but sometimes even that can be fun.

Thanks for sharing. I could have some fun with creative photos of that big stainless tub. "Get Out" was a nice touch! Even the fire extinguisher in the middle of the hallway looked right at home! Building looks too new (and good shape) to be abandoned.
Take nothing with you but memories and photographs. Leave nothing behind except your footprints in the dust. |

Nice place! I really like that workbench in the third-to-last shot.

Nice and refreshing to see a place not vandalized! Though I'm not sure how long that would last. Great find!

Thanks everyone for the comments, the place closed down in December of 2009/January of 2010. I have made a few trips back but I have had no luck with getting in. During the most recent trip I found fresh tire tracks and a still warm cup of coffee. The location is still owned by the local city and has been in a state of limbo until the city decides the facilities next use
