This asylum was founded in 1827. The oldest buildings on this complex dated from 1886. The asylum was closed in 1994 because of alleged patient abuse. In these tunnels supposedly they shackled down some of the most violent patients. Now they are demolishing the complex (how dare they). A lot of these buildings are no longer standing. If you enjoy long dark tunnels, then you would enjoy this place. I brought a friend who had never explored before and he told me later that he was creeped out by it. I was unable to relate to his feelings. Enjoy!

Excellent location and wonderful pictures. Shame about the buildings, though. They don't make neglectful owners like they used to.

STAY OUT ASSHOLE might be the best graffiti I've seen in a while. Love it

I love this place. Been there twice, thus far.

Earth. ;)
But really, we don't usually publicly disclose locations. These are the public boards, and are visible to owners, law enforcement, vandals, scrappers, and arsonists. To protect the sites from vandalization, scrapping, and arsing, all locations are dealt with through private message. Once you're a full member, you get access to the site database and can see all locations. Welcome to the boards!

Or just wait until some a$$ geotags it on their site or includes a clickable map...

love it! and yeah... "STAY OUT ASSHOLE" is tag of the year!
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

I read "arsonists" as "Aristocrats"

Precisely. Gotta keep them posh bastards out of there. They keep trying to monopolize the copper wire.

I can assure you there are 100% no police officers on this board. Most precincts are still using computers from the 90s that suck for anything but boring papwerwork. It's almost impossible to view websites like this, so you are all free to go about your business in complete safety! I am interested to learn that there are vandals and arsonists on here. I enjoy vewing grafitti tags, they are a favorite art form of mine. It sounds like fine art is not appreciated here so if you are a grafitti vandal please PM me so we can meet and disuss your work!
I love trespassing especially with drugs and weapons. PM me if you want to meet for fun adventure! |

barely, from looking at it on google maps looks like there is some condos and a medical museum. only one or two abandoned buildings now.

Really good shots. I really wish I was into exploring when I was newly married and living in Indy.
