You're going to hate me for this Bandi. But why the beetle? Why not the GTI, OR the JEtta GLI with a ridiculous engine. (I understand theres a difference between fur door, and 2 door cars when it comes to rally.)

No idea. Well, the Jetta likely because it's a 4 door, but not sure why they didn't use the Golf. I'm happy with this decision. Probably to give the Beetle a bad ass image to make them sell better?

Probably the later, The GTI already has a well established image as The car that the cool kids drive. where as the beetle has more of a feminine reputation as a result of the early 2000's beetle. The new beetle i must say looks a lot better, I don't like it as much as the new Jetta's but eh'

Wow, I am surprised I know the answer to this! Or at least *think* I know the answer to this.. Probably to market this thing: http://www.motortr...oncept_first_look/

I doubt it, because that thing is still just a concept car. I do like it... I liked the 2000 version of the Dune as well.

after reading about Volkswagen's attitude towards the political interference that was directed towards them, I'd own a VW.
