Here are a few pictures I took in January of what seem to be half-built villas or small hotels/resorts in the Paphos area in Cyprus. As you will see from the pictures, they are just empty concrete shells. It was definitely not the most interesting buildings to explore, but I couldn't just walk past it without taking a peek. The buildings are all located along a 5 Km long stretch of coastline. We can see the wreck of the Demetrios II (it ran aground in 1998) very well from the rooftop, but unfortunately I only had a point-and-shoot camera borrowed from a colleague so there was no point in even trying to take a picture of it. There is also the wreck of the Edro III which is located very close to the shore a few kilometers north. I am unsure as to wether it is still there though...since I did not have time to go and see it for myself. Anyways, there are plenty of good pics available of those 2 notorious shipwrecks on the web... Here's a link: http://goo.gl/maps/blmyv Two small unfinished villas:

Actually pretty neat! Can't go wrong with marble floors and spiral staircases. That big one with the columns is impressive. Thanks
The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us? | |
Nice pics, the one with the columns is really cool!

Nice shots. So clean.

Thanks for your comments, guys. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Who would have thought a point-and-shoot could take decent pictures?
