New Mexico Missile Silo Site #12

Looking for a group to explore the NM Missile Site #12 with me. I live in Albuquerque, NM and would like to plan a day trip to this site. I drove by the site on 01/19/2014 and confirmed that the site is open and doesn't have any 'No Trespassing" signs up. I was alone when I drove by but I checked it out to make sure I could get in. Please message me if you are interested.

I'm down, I just got back from the east coast and the abundance of UER stuff to do there has made me itchy being back in nm... need to hit the train yards too

How preserved is it? Basically, is it worth the trip? I'd totally make the drive if it's worth it.

I don't know how preserved this particular silo is. I have never been in this one. I have seen them ranging from flooded with water to one couple that was cleaning the one they owned out. Some of them still have sealed blast doors that require cutting torches. If you do make a trip from Colorado let me know and I will give you directions to some of the better ones I have been in.

Have actually visited any in NM? I've been to several in CO but never any of the NM ones and I'd be interested in visiting some

Not much left, and it's a good 50 ft to the water give or take. No visible cribbing,

I did one of the roswell sites in 2005, no water and cradle intact, but the stairs in the cradle were fucked, so we climbed down on the cabling brackets on the outside of the cradle. fun times. That site was owned by Gary (siloman).

The missing stair case one? Did it in 2013, I think.
Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha... I came very close to taking my last step there. Quick reflexes and a good handhold on the rail is all that saved me. Ended up on the last or second to last step with my ass on the step and feet hanging in the air.

I climbed down the 2x4's to get to the crew living level. Fun times.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I live in Albuquerque and I’m used to abandoned mines, tunnels and ghost towns. Looks like my new interest is with middle silos. Thank you for sharing!
