I'm coming back for you! Especially downtown Birmingham. Damn. It made my heart hurt, but I was traveling alone and needed to make "safe" decisions, or something. I did have a good time with the things that I did manage to see though. So yeah, next time, I'm assembling a crew ;)

i've been in one of the very few buildings Sherman didn't burn in GA. it looked just like your first pic. looks like they are restoring it. as much as i approve of Sherman's tactics, i think he should have gone a bit harder. seeing those alabama buildings make me wonder what we might have seen in GA. just cool historically.
i look forward to pics from those sites.
