Shot with film?

No. I shot all of these with a Canon DSLR, mostly on a tripod, using natural light when I could and flashlights + long exposures when I couldn't.

So who were these people that were deemed "feeble?" Statistically, African Americans and women were the two groups who were targeted the most frequently. Qualifying diagnoses ranged from mental retardation, epilepsy, alcoholism, manic depression, autism, promiscuity, sex perversion, and a whole range of other afflictions that could easily be deemed as behavioral or subjective. |
Intense... and I really like the pictures. Also, while I'm not familiar with this location or the state laws that once applied to it, in NC people were once sterilized for fighting at school or skipping school. Actually, pm'ing you now with some historical docs you may be interested in...
