It's a tale of two Nicoles.
There was the best of Nicoles.
There was the worst of Nicoles.
And to differentiate,
The best got Nic,
And I got Coley.

Not sure if there is a thread like this on this forum, but some of your names are creative and sound mysterious. Is there a significant reason to your UER designation?

I will get the ball rolling:
My username is "A-Z" as some of you call me... "A" is the first letter of my first name, and "Z" is for the last letter in my last name (also my first name). "Explorations" is to describe what we all love to do.

i used to watch Samurai Jack all the time.
and I have an interest in Japanese culture.

its kind of thing now... even my xbox live handle is 'redsamurairush'

I got into UE through a love of history, maps, and how cities and towns develop over time. When I was first starting out I researched my neighborhood and found that in the 30s-60s it was a small airport. Totally blew my mind. So I dug up old photographs of it and saw my house now sits at the end of one of the former runways. So anyway, puddlejumper from the small planes that were used there (and because I LOVE to jump in puddles) and 12 cause that was when I graduated college.

Seemed to fit when I signed up here.

Cave Clan was almost known as The River Jumpers.

BTW Cave Clan is just so much more iconic than River Jumpers so I'm glad it turned out the way it did.

My original username was Racetraitor, which was granted to me by a skinhead friend (in jest) when I married a Korean. After I got divorced, I decided to ditch the username. There was another mod called Emma Peel at the time, so I suggested Steed and she quickly made it happen before I could think of anything better. I don't use this name anywhere else which is probably a good idea.

Plus: my avatar which I've had for years was drawn by Korean eviction goons on the wall of an abandonment, and when I changed my name to Steed I added the bowler hat.

Interesting story, Steed.
Hard to believe there is so much hate still out there.
Thanks for the additional info with the profile photo! To me it looks like a gentleman skeleton ha-ha. That was another topic I wanted to cover, but I figured someone else should, not me.

Hate? If you mean my skinhead friend, he was just teasing me. He's a good guy who just likes shock humour sometimes. Actually he recently ran for mayor of my hometown, and impressively didn't come in last place. .

Throughout my life, since early childhood, I've always had run-ins with foxes. Camping trips, hiking trips, etc. As I got older some of my friends started noticing how frequent it seemed(I think it's just coincidence) and started calling me fox. They have a theory that the foxes show up for me because they're lost. I prefer to think that if they really do come to me it's because I am lost.

My name pretty much just came from my love of the Pterosaur. Although the term Pterodactyl only refers to one specific member of the Pterosaurs (the Pterodactylus), the public has always used 'Pterodactyl' to generalize every type of Pterosaur, so I just decided to stick with that. Anyway, it's not very often that you'll see a winged lizard that stretches 30 feet across flying above your car. Not much else to say other than that Pterodactyls are awesome.

When I joined the local community, I was told to pick a name that I would actually respond to if someone was trying to get my attention. So I went with Red since it was the name I used in derby for 6 years (short for Lil'Red Ridingcrop). When I joined UER it turned out that Red wasn't enough letters, so I bulked it up with the x's.

Until you noticed that the entire point of the message was to let everyone know that now "Liz" is now to be known as "The Tart Queen of Tartopolis," or similar.

I came really close to going with TartQueen, but in the end I just didn't think I'd recognize it as my name in a crunch.

"xRedx" is wiser than providing a real name, TartQueen ;)
Awesome default of your descent into exploring, by the way.
