Military Vehicle Technology Foundation

There was some interest in this place in the Photography thread, and I've tried to schedule a tour in the past, so I inquired. Apparently word is out that they're selling off a large chunk with eyes to moving, so remaining tour dates are filling up fast. I inquired about Dec or Jan and got back openings in May and June.

If we had less than 10 we might be able to get in sooner. That was the number I gave as an estimate based on my guess of interest from the NorCal folks. I have heard the tour is pretty free-form and you actually get to crawl around on the vehicles to a certain extent.

It's $20. The auction is scheduled for August.

We've settled on Saturday June 14, 2014. 1 PM.

Here's the event link: http://www.uer.ca/...nt.asp?eventid=718

This is true. About a third of the way through the tour we just hung-back and did what we wanted to and no one seemed to care. We also explored the outside vehicles in the staging areas and they said nothing. Very cool place with lots of photo ops. See it while you can.

I'd be down for that. Would be a good one to drag my kid along to as well. I don't have any specific plans for any of those dates, so pull the trigger on one and let's do it!

I got the same dates when I requested a tour for a group of three last week.

Edit: Well, I guess May is the best option.

The group I went with was 20+ ppl, plus others whom the foundation added to our tour. The extra ppl i'm not even sure where they came from or who they knew/talked to in order to get added to our group.

You guys should stick to May for sure cuz I inquired about their cat "Hitler" today and they told me they are closing in the Spring and most of the collection is going to Boston.

Hitler died last year he was a sweetie.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

I'll figure out how to make an event for this. The reservation is for 10.

Your reservation for 10 on June 14 at 1 PM is confirmed.
I have attached a document with driving directions to the MVTF. Please read it carefully.

Please note that due to ongoing activity at the ranch, parking is at a premium. Please plan to carpool as much as possible.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
