Horrible things??

LOL! Pga's like "Wait! What?!?!"

Back in 2004 or so I had a friend who was a chefs apprentice and he lived on TI. When I drove him home once I found out that he lived at a place where juvenile ex cons were given a "second chance" at enrolling in schools or classes (like chef's apprentice lol!). When I pulled up there was an area under the building and there were hella kids drinking, shooting up and fucking against the walls. I was shocked lol! The building is now under construction....we were there maybe a month ago?
It's still a little thuggish out there tho.

And damn Siper sorry to hear that. Sucks ass.

I was so excited about this thread I forget to compliment you guys on your pics. Both great sets!

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

holy christ this place is pretty rad! Nice pics!

And i only explore with the strobe setting. The standard setting is for squares. People tend to get a little upset with me, but it's the only way to truly live. -Relik

Thanks guybrush.

Haha, I didn't even think of it as an Asterisk, but now that I just looked at my keyboard IT IS.

Wow a blast from the past! Good job Guy! I remember circling that inner ramp a dozen times cuz we forgot our POE lol. I posted those pics on myspace haha! Awesome that you got inside

It's so disorienting in there! Luckily I could recognize where our POE was once I was in front of it, but the entire time I had no idea where it was relative to me.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Sorry guys, I forget this is the internet. I use the word horrible a little lightly. I don't mean HORRIBLE I just mean I've heard about people getting breaking/entering, trespassing etc. and that it's in general pretty hot. I heard too that the people in the building next door will call if they see people walking around nearby. So just not chill. So as much as I've been dying to check it out I've been putting it off.
Seems as though I'll have to check it now though...

Hahah, I knew the spot felt hot but I was just wondering how lucky we really were getting in this one -- I'm actually surprised to see how many people haven't been in here too, would have figured a few years ago or something that this was one of those spots that was just wide open with how much graffiti is inside and how everything everywhere is broken and busted up

I'm actually surprised at how much copper remains. I revisited this past Sunday, the one on the right with the "clean" central atrium.

Props on getting into the other building -- did you happen to notice if there were any girafa giraffes in there?

Awesome location! Nice shots all around.

What exactly was this back in the day? Whatever it was, I'm sure the architecture looked awesome in its prime.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

I dont post on uer ever but i lurk constantly.. I love these buildings. Made entry to the right one closest to the main gate, is that the one all these pictures are from? Most of it looks familiar but they are identical.

The pics from pga and I are from the north most building, where as some of the others in this thread posted pics from the southmost.

Has anyone been in the bowling alley lately?

The first time I ever met up with someone from UER, it was to sidestep across the ledge into the upper floor of the bowling alley. That was YEARS ago. I wonder if I can dig up the picture I took of the last frame played there (the scorecard was on the counter, signed and dated with the time of closure.)

Honestly, I was always more interested in the theater across the lot, but the alley was pretty nice. I should head out there and check out the asterisks.

Another spot on TI worth seeing is the stunning Building 1 (Administration.) It was a museum, and a rentable space for a while (had my senior ball there ._.) but I think they closed it when SF bought the land. Really fantastic site with incredible history, but I'm sure it's locked up tight. Even has the old control tower for the seaplane terminal.
