We didn't make it here until dusk and Rinzler was complaining about the skeeters, so we didn't stay too terribly long. Maybe there was more to it with more light, but it's pretty beat up and tagged now.

I have some pics from a few years ago. Hopefully they aren't much worse than back then. Here they are just in case. Cool place anyway. I'd go back.

It's pretty overgrown by nature...if you're going back, you better hurry. ;) It probably would have been better earlier in the day, but was mostly a bunch of empty rooms. It kind of has a weird layout, too.

Did you happen to notice a red light in the corner of the ceiling in the main room (where the pirate murals are)?

I went there probably about six months ago, and was happily taking photos of the murals when we realized there was a security camera set up in the corner of the room. Or at least pretty sure it was a camera, we noticed the red light first then tried to make out exactly what it was using my camera flash. Wasn't too worried about it, but thought it was weird that they even bothered.

Damn. I remember this place from many moons ago. Kind of a trip seeing it 15 years later. Thanks for the look!

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

I didn't look at all...hahahaha. Crazy dark inside. That's interesting, though. There's no electricity...it would have to be battery operated, and then seems wasteful to have it recording always. There's nothing to steal, the place can hardly be saved without a winning lottery ticket, so yeah...I'm with you...what's the point?

Oh good, doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought it was going to be. The outside looks the same for the most part. How was the piano? Or were there at least any pieces left anymore?

Got some good pics there. I need to go back soon. Maybe this weekend if I get to meet up with Astro.

Yeya, I didn't see a piano. But, like I said...it was fairly dark. We didn't walk through all of it. Astro told me about a few fireplaces that I didn't see.

The Piano is long gone. Someone cleaned the whole place about a year ago and got all the loose pieces out.

Ugh, that would happen. Well at least someone finally used that dumpster that was out there for the longest.

Tiffers, yea, there's a whole bunch of fireplaces there.
