Just realized I haven't posted anything about my new truck here, short of posting the craigslist ad I bought it from in the car finds thread.

They're my favorite vehicles ever. I'm disappointed so few people do take the roof off.

Also, it caught itself on fire a few days ago while it was parked at work. The wiring going into the back of the alternator. So it's currently laid up until I can fix that.

i used to wonder why people didn't take the roofs off their Blazers until i helped my mom's late hubby take the one off his 87... it was heavier than a dead fucking minister.

Yeah, it's got some weight to it. Once I buy a house, and we're shopping now, I'm going to build a pulley contraption in the ceiling of the garage to lift it off.

I used to pull the top and both doors as soon as it was warm enough to drive it everyday with a coat on. And leave it that way until the first snow. A/c doesnt hold a candle to an open cab.

Eh, I guess I'm just used to it. I drive a delivery van for a living and on the hottest of days, the window's down and the ac never goes above fan speed 2.

Edit: though it's worth pointing out that that's Ohio hottest of days. I've visited Mississippi in August, and that's windows up and ac on full blast shit.
