From what I remember, the LINAC building went underground. It would have to being a linear accelerator......
And the pipe I mentioned is big enough for a person, and barely at that. It was not an equipment shaft

Was your pipe on the main campus? How do you know / what makes you think it went down to the ring?

I've never seen the actual pipe, I live in WI. But knowing what a LINAC is, it needs a long tunnel. And I remember reading somewhere that it had some tunnel dug. I can't see why it would connectto the ring though.

Looking back at the LINAC entry, those vents probably do lead somewhere, but they are flooded at maybe only 10 feet down. I don't think anyone is stupid enough to go diving down a 3 feet tube in to green slime to see what? To feel your way around flooded tunnels?

I had to go take a look and I found it. It's possible the linac connects to one of the smaller, circular rings.

Edit: who owns the linac? Is the property currently being used?

Thought it was some furniture manufacturer. But it would be cheap and easy to seal off. I'm sure they didn't forget.

the linear accelerator is where the pinball gets thumped down the tube so to speak into the main accelerator, then, "super conducting" magnets kept it on a precise course around and around until diverting it slightly into the big super duper collision

and that's how little Higgs Boson wouldve been born

we spoke to one of the Boson family in Maypearl they were obviously broke up about the whole affair, when we mentioned the SSC he got scared and started mumbling about something then shot off into traffic and almost got collided with a GMC pick up

would have been interesting to see what particles came out from that super collision

I would have to say those pipes don't connect to the rings. And they're not locked in any serious way.

If they're not connected to the rings, what ARE they connected to? Could these have been part of a well, or maybe something to do with petroleum?

They're placed in kind of random spots. I'd say monitoring wells, and they could be, but usually they are capped differently and not so prominent. But I have seen monitoring wells in ND that were installed in the last 13 years that were just 6" PVC that stuck up about 4 ft. Very well could have been pla ed for radiation monitoring. Having stray particles escaping the rings and migrating to water would surely be checked.
