The people that demanded (not asked) him to stop are the same folks who told him it was impossible and not to do it at all because of probable arrest. I'm sure everyone here knows about the risks involved with our hobby. Why are you so fucking worried about it? It's global knowledge that these tunnels exist. It's no longer government-owned and it appears they're all back-filled and/or flooded anyway. Unless this shit is a walk-in, and clearly it's not, there's no harm letting a fellow explorer pioneer ahead and maybe find a Holy Grail location. If he doesn't, no harm done. If he gets caught, he knows the risks anyway. It's not like he's jacking ATMs or stealing computers. (*ahem*). I doubt the snide gifs are going to persuade him to be happy with the usual collapsing barns and abandoned chicken coops so if he wants to go for it, let him do it. This location isn't some barely touched century-old insane asylum in the jungles of East Bumfuck full of wooden legs and jars of human brain tissue, it's a giant tube carved out of rock. You told him the difficulties and reminded him that none of you have been there. You told him there's other threads about these same points of interest and to search them out. You warned him of the serious charges he could be facing if anyone gives enough of a fuck to arrest him and you all chastised his ideas as if he was a moron.
Sometimes a man's just gotta see it for himself.
Let a niggah be.

I will also note that sscl-319.pdf shows only 4 access shafts to the tunnel section already excavated, which is shown to be exactly 5.9 miles in length. If we can find no evidence of these 4 shafts, this thread, like the others, will be over pretty quickly.

I am with you,I think it would be awesome. Probably impossible, but cool none the less. But I also think this thread will be over quickly. Nothing wrong with chasing the impossible. Without such an attitude, we would be missing a lot in this life.

I bet if you got one of those sweet UER shirts with your name on it, you'd pretty much be granted instant access.

Just tell the owner or whoever, "yeah, it's all good I'm with UER."

Funny, but I believe the best way to present myself to and shaft-sitting landowners is as a journalist. Which, actually, is quite an appropriate way to describe the undertaking if we're able to gain access.

The shafts do exist and are pretty easy to find. Guess what's at the bottom of those shafts? It's not dry ground...

I also noticed an alarming trend with this particular topic while perusing the older posts about the location.
It gets locked immediately because it was brought up at least twice per year.
If I had a goddamned penny for every fucking time someone brought up Norwich or Greystone, I could've bought both fucking places myself.
If you're all indeed hiding the fact that this location is a L337 spot where you all throw raves and run around naked like some Caligulan Binge & Purge temple, send him a PM and tell him he can pick up his feather and toga at the trapdoor.
Since this is likely not the case, instead of locking it, let it fade naturally and let him update the post with photos and pics of him ripping a PBR beer bong inside the main circle, or him texting for bail money from the holding tank.
Seriously, a beat-ass thread is history a few days after it's written. Instead of the whole roll-eyes drama game, help if you can or at least wish him luck.

Thanks again. I guess all the naysayers have been here too long and lost their sense of humor. That's funny, since YOU (Ed) are the only member to have posted who's been here longer than me.

Everyone has the right to discovery and exploration. Being mocked instead of helped by the community that's supposed to be a positive influence to the hobby boggles my mind. You're not asking for the key to the Lost City of Z, just some knowledge from fellow explorers about something you'd like to see for yourself. I seriously doubt you're going to tag up the joint and smash boxes of fluorescent light tubes like some immature thug so I fail to see what the fucking problem is here. If someone asks me about something and they seem legit, they get the Full Monty. If the location is demoed, beat or difficult, I'm not going to mock them. I'm going to tell them just what the fuck is up.
No bullshit.

Actually I was thinking that and that's why I made the post. It just so happened I was being offered a sweet UER shirt at the top of the website...blah blah.

I agree Ed, let this thread take it's natural course. I for one would like to see wr0x2 pounding brews in the faces of naysayers. Or asking for bail, both would be more epic than what anyone else has done with this place. MHO.

That's not a bad idea, thanks for the info.

Currently we've found possible sites for

-F1 Access Shaft
-E2 Service Shaft

E1 and C1 are filled in, with the site of E1 easily visible on the north end of the main complex. All information I've read so far indicates that F1 and E2 are probably filled in, but in the absence of any visible settling, the hunt is still on.

No known explorers has been into the main ring tunnel, unless you want to correct me on that. Furthermore, the main facility UERs have accessed in the past is now active and inaccessible. The part WE want to access is totally abandoned, and possibly not even possible to access. There is little more risk discussing THIS particular site than any other on this forum.

Finally, as far as I know there have been no serious efforts to access this ring, and certainly no documentation of any visits. I want to go into the ring, and document it for other UERs to see. If successful, that would certainly be something new, don't you think?

I'm an 06. I don't post much, but I've seen the threads.
Difference between the other threads and this one, is that I have the means and the desire to make an expedition happen.

Durdan, I took it from this post that he has.
