The silo is now easily climbed again if you have upperbody strength. And some one hammered in a figured 8 as a reppel point I am assuming to go down the side of the not very big cliff. the outside ladder has a rope hanging down you climb to access it not sure how long it will last. about 5 foot climb.

The tire tracks up on the way look older than 2 weeks so if he does not very often I haven't seen him in months though.

bumping this old thread. Anyone been out here lately and have some pictures to share? or stories? Evilbunny this was your old stomping grounds from what I remember you were out here like every couple of weeks. There seems to be some interest from a new(er) UER member based out of Milwaukee with some questions about the backstory of the area. (Don't worry its not MtnManDan)

Thanks for the note and the bump - I suppose I could have done that as well. 2 week vacation in Wisconsin north woods starts tomorrow, my brain is in vacation mode - not focus on anything else mode. Sorry the bump opened a can of worms - hope they die before they get rank and stink - hate to see an otherwise legit thread locked. Anyone else - I just was intrigued by this location. Just about zero chance I will ever see it in person, was just hoping for for info or maybe pics. Especially anything of interest inside the aquaduct. Seems like it could be a fun day of exploring, with a full hike too! I'd appreciate any info, no need for locations, POE's, and such. Just want to feed my needy how and why brain.... Thanks!

I went here way before I really visually documented any of my excursions, but there are some decent pics at the very beginning of the thread. It’s a really popular place for kids in that city to go with their friends to be edgy & what not. It’s a 10-15 minute walk down an active railroad to get to the location & you’ll have to hide from a train at least once. I heard that the conductors on that route alert others of your presence, I can’t confirm that though. The air quality inside the aqueduct is quite bad & there is nothing too interesting in there. There used to be brick structures out there & a smokestack but that is all long gone. It’s an interesting spot to see at least once. Walking along the top of the ‘sidewalk’ is a pretty little stroll. At one point towards the end, the aqueduct is suspended over a little canyon, so it acts like a bridge.

This is a relatively known location. Very easy to find. The secret staircase is a well known teenager party spot and excellent place to photograph. It is also a active train site so use caution. Popular for photographers and urban explorers. Also geographically close to me as well. Please avoid jumping the gate where the Jeep man patrols. He also performs random patrols looking for trespassers. He will tell at you and tell you to leave. The train tunnel is much longer than it looks so please exercise caution if your going to be near it.

I don't come on uer as often as I'd like to. But just an update there is plans to demo The sidewalk. I haven't gone in quite a while but I'll most likely make one last trip for memories. There isn't really anything inside of the aqueduct. I've walked through a huge majority of it. after about 2-300ft all the "cool graffiti" artists never went past which I found odd. Nothing but dirt though. Last time I was up the Water silo is basically impossible to get ontop or in. what a shame it is indeed. Its a cool site for sure. I've talked to the man in the jeep before and he was cool like me and my friends and didn't kick us out just told us to keep away from the cattle. The train tunnel took us about 16mins to get through at a brisk walking pace. a bit over a mile long. nothing on the other side worth checking out tbh. But yeah other than that RIP the sidewalk. Even my father came here as a teen to party

Didn't walk the length of it. Is it worth it to return to see the silo and train tunnel? I heard it was being demolished so I assumed there wasn't much left.

The train tunnel isn't anything special. The silo used to be cool as it had a ladder inside and outside you could climb in and get ontop of but those days are gone. The sidewalk itself it cool to check out but not much else.

I finally made the trek to the Secret Sidewalk. I have heard about this place since I was a kid. The excursion was hauntingly enchanting but a large portion of the Sidewalk has been demolished. I made a video of my excursion complete with FPV drone footage. https://youtu.be/v5r89IkjQJM

Thanks for viewing my video. I have been wanting to do drone footage of the Aquaduct for sometime. I will make a return trip to visit the water tower and possibly do the tunnel.
