Scored me a new toy this last weekend. 1980 Searay SVR200 22' boat. Chevy 350 powered. Picked it up cheap and amazingly its in great shape. Engine kicks off and runs like a champ. Hope to get it out on the water this weekend and see how it runs and check out the outdrive.

Dude nice boat! We plan on moving to coastal north Carolina in 2 years that's going to be my first motorized investment (more like money pit) I think I'm going to go cabin cruiser route though.

Guess they made this same model with a small cuddy up front but this one has the large gas tank up there. Ill trade more time on the lake for the small cabin. Should be a blast out on the water!

"got it cheap" lolol we'll see how "cheap" it's turned out to be in a couple of months. I wish you the best, but experience tells me that boat ownership is a cash-intensive deal. If it's not one thing, it's going to be 10 other things, and nothing on a boat is cheap. Good luck.

Been there and done that a few times now and know what im getting into. Was really just looking for something in nice enough shape to be worth keeping on the water. Being a wrench has its perks when it comes to keeping vehicles operating....

The two happiest days of a boat owner's life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it.

Seriously, though, that's awesome. I'd love a real boat, but I can't afford one and I get seasick. I just have to stick to the canoe for now.
