Funny old thread on Hondaswap
< on 6/19/2013 12:49 AM >
Posted on Forum: UER ForumQuote
I joined hondaswap 5 years ago just to laugh at idiots like this, and it doesn't disappoint. Apparently still had it bookmarked, and I thought you all might get a laugh. The fail is so strong, and starts with post 1, although kinda fizzles out by post 100 and becomes really petty and unentertaining. The mod list including basic maintenance items is pretty hilarious. In another thread his power steering pump went bad, so he just ran the rack dry for extra HP/weight reduction/laziness/i don't fucking know honestly. Had to replace the entire thing not even a month later.

Here's some more gold.

Needs help installing a "technometer"

Wanting to buy an Ebay Turbocharger for his POS accord that he doesn't even know how to remove an oil cap on.
http://hondaswap.c...-some-tips-196078/

Wanting to know if a stock muffler will be quieter than his 4inch fart can

Wanting a prelude brake conversion so it'll be easier to do brakes.
http://hondaswap.c...t-end-91-a-222648/

Destroying the entire steering system instead of buying a pump. Seriously. Why would you drain the fluid?
http://hondaswap.c...-need-help-156079/

More steering trouble. "I don't understand those manuels. They talk in some sort of car language." What the serious fuck.

Doesn't understand what the 5th plug wire is for.

It depends on the breed the Mk4 1.8T people are the worse, Mk2 people tend to be skater boys or purists, newer VW and audi owners tend to be better but theres still a few fuck ups.

Water cooled VW people make me cry, and they have started to accumulate and slam aircooled VWs.....it's no good. And regionally, they are all supreme douchebags.

The front knuckle swap is a pretty popular mod with racers that are constantly changing rotors out, so there is some validity to that one. It's not really needed for a street car, though.

Same. There's a few cool ones out here (like 7) but wow, I've never seen so many faked tanned guidos with meaningless tattoos in basketball jerseys with white oakleys, fat, fake tanned, fake blonde girlfriends and a bunch of stupid stickers on their tastelessly modded cars. These ones, at least in Ontario, seem to have either Mk5 Jettas, GTIs or newer Audis that their parents paid for. Maybe I'm old school, but stretched tires are just fucking dumb. Textbook douchebags.

The Mk2 crowd seems pretty decent around here... mostly awkward preppy kids. I get along with them well. Mk3 just doesn't really exist in shows, and the Mk4 crowd is a mixed bag.

And again, he can dish it out... but he can't take it :p

It's not your car I'm bagging on. It's the idiots with rotted out Grand Prixs, Grand Ams, Monte Carlos and Aleros who swear there's no better car while watching it being loaded onto a flatbed because the engine failed, even though they spent all of their maintenance money on Nascar jackets, Earnhardt stickers and pitbulls. People like the man who actually wanted to physically fight me at a Christmas party because I worked at GM and drove a Volkswagen.

He later parted his mullet just to reveal the Earnhardt logo on the back of his jacket. I am not making this up, there are several witnesses.

I would have been a fan of NASCAR if it were stock car racing like back in the day.

I just find it really boring to watch (until they crash).

I bet it'd be fun to do though. I used to race dirt oval track. It was a blast.
