A rant of sorts....but not really.

| I recently disabled my website from being indexed by search engines. I came to the decision to do this after I went to go visit a slaugherhouse on the north side of town. It had been locked up since the last time I was there. Though I could still get in, it was much more difficult. Of course I'm not sure, but I feel my online actions may have been the cause of the lockup. This is not the 1st time either, our entrance to Parkland Hosp. in Dallas was secured, though we easily found another, which has remained for about 6 months now. Another instance involved a slaughterhouse in a nearby town I had checked out last summer. Since then some important relics from that place (that I had photographed and placed online) have since been stolen. And just several days ago, Porfzilla called me and told me the Ben Milam Hotel had been secured. Too many instances that may have been prevented had I shown more prudence in this electronic realm. It saddens me that I have to take these measures to protect these places from the vandals and thieves, because by hiding it from them, I am also hiding from the general public....To me that is a bad thing. I've recieved tons of emails from normal people who found my site for whatever reason and they've told me their stories about the places I've been and shared with me the places they had been. While I'm sure I'll still get that sort of letter occasionally, the frequency with which I do will be missed.
