Good choice of car. My sister had one that was bulletproof. She didnt change the damn oil for 20+K miles and it finally threw a rod through the top of the block. I showed up, dislodged the pieces from the crank, filled it with 15w40 and drove it a few more miles until another rod broke. Impressed the hell out of me!

my friend Matt had an old Loyale like that. Lunched a rod bearing and heaved a piston chunk through the block wall. So rather than admit defeat, Matt lets the engine cool, gets his hand into the engine, pulls out the shrapnel, unbolts what's left of the connecting rod, makes a patch out of diamond plate and welds it into place... Car ran another 1000 miles before it exploded.

That '90 Legacy I had remains my most hated car.
I liked it alright when it ran right... So for a few weeks. I think I've accepted that I got the exception to the rule, though.
And holy crap, that is an insane deal on that wagon. I'd have bought it and bore the lesbian jokes, too.
