so, i went out and bought a mint 2000 XJ with 200k on the clock. Thing runs and drives great and looks like a 35k vehicle
got a trailer hitch installed at U-haul and bought a scooter/dirtbike hitch hauler for a recent moped rally camping trip
since the headlights are absolute crap on these, i got some glass H4 housings, but they came with smoked blinkers & tails. I figured they'd look good with the pewter-ish color of the truck
then i ordered a roof top tent for it since i plan on road tripping around the US
fuck yeah. then this happened:
lifted and sticker charged. so here's now how it sits:
i've ordered front and rear bumpers (with rear tire carrier) and am just waitng for them to show up. Also have a CB with a 4ft firestick antenna waiting to go on and a snorkel. i love this damn truck.

Nice! Is that a PA Satanists sticker? Stickers make it go faster, you know.

It's the logo for the clothing company that sponsors me from PA (www.blasfome.com) and yes, stickercharging is a real thing. much like direct-exhaust-injection

I love these trucks. It's such a shame that I'm forbidden to own an XJ again. Wifey mandates a TJ or better. I can live with that. What did you go with for your lift kit? Your tire choice was a good one, those are probably the best highway/trail tire out there. You need more lighting up front, though. Toss some Hellas up there on your roof rack.
PM me if you want to get join our board and get fit! |

yeah, more lighting is def in order. i'm looking at those LED light bars i went with a rough country 3" lift and put brand new OEM leafs in the back to compliment as the old ones were looking sort of tired. i love these tires. it's what we use on all our fleet vehicles at work

Nice. I've always loved and wanted an XJ, and yours is gorgeous.

A friend of mine has a couple of those LED bars on his XJ- they're insanely bright. Lots of fun for all the local compensating retards who drive jacked up trucks with projector-free eBay HID swaps and blind all of the oncoming traffic.

congrats on your one-of-a-kind ecard
this rig is a local. I like the idea.
the rig is looking good, I am looking forward to more pics from both on road and off.

I love that! (The very rare Commanche quad cab? haha) It's like what the Bummer H3 truck thing could have been. But a lot less shitty and pretentious.

those XJ's, if they're over 6 or 7 years old are just about rotted in half up here. Same with the Grand Cherokees.
|
|
Whenever I get an XJ and the time and money, I'm making mine a removable hardtop. Sort of a cross between a Wrangler and a first-gen 4runner.

Same as here, but the Grand Cherokees seem to end up in the wreckers while the XJs just get patched and patched, and hacked up, and patched. I sold my last XJ on its way to the scrapyard for $500. About $400 more than I would have gotten on the scales at the time. Needed floors, paint, front and rear windows and a dash after I ran over a logging chain on the highway that missed my head by about an inch.
