I feel like they missed a few... and I don't understand how "Cars" could be frowned upon at all. A few critics mentioned about how bizarre it was to give something like a car a personality- which made me laugh, some cars have more personality than some people I know.
And there's no Love Bug. Yeah, I'm biased, but the racing scenes are awesome. The Porsche powered Bug they built for filming was actually a pretty quick car, and there's racing at Laguna Seca, Riverside, etc... Herbie is rubbing fenders with vintage Ferraris, Cobras, Jags, 'Vettes, Apollos, etc. There's some damn impressive driving, some great acting and I get to watch my favorite type of car get raced
I....I don't care for this list honestly. Even though Fast and the Furious is a joke, it was still an enjoyable movie. I think someone is just being snotty to be snotty. And Cars was freaking awesome!
why was the original "Mad Max" (1979) not on that list? Oh, and nice... A 'bronze' badge. Ronin, in it's own way, was a car guy's movie. You ask anyone about it and the first thing they think are the amazing car sequences.
i actually liked days of thunder... as stupid as it was, some of the quotes "i want you go go out there and hit the pace car, youve hit every other damn thing out there i want you to be perfect"
Posted by Red97 "Dive" was a horrible movie, had a few good car chases but hardly should be in the best category.
I like the F&F movies shinny cars, hot women, guns and explosions
if you go into the Fast & Furious movies expecting Oscar-award winning performances, you best move your shit on over to 'driving miss daisy'. Back when 'the fast & the furious' came out, that was where the import/tuner/street racing scene was. 2001 was a looooong time ago as hard as that is to believe. Nowadays, it's about how fucking fast it will go, stance, matte paints and body dips. Not so much look at me as it is look at me beat you with this flat black beater.
Posted by jeepdave Wait. Was Christine not on that list? That movie always hits home with my obsession with cars. I would guess Sams and Bandis as well.
What about "Corvette Summer" with Mark Hamill? I mean, Luke Skywalker obsessed with a Vette? (even though it was 70's tacky). And then moving on over to imported movies, I really enjoyed "Initial D" and "Wangan Midnite" (2005 and 2009 respectively).
Christine was not so much a car movie, per se, but a movie about love OF cars.

Oh im not expecting realism or great performances with any F&F, and im not a ricer, tuner or body kit type guy. But for what ever reason i do injoy F&F movies

Christine is such an incredible movie. I've shown that to non-car people and they loved it. The book is good too.

Me too. I don't like Nascar, but it's a good movie.
I liked drive, the visuals are super well done all the colours just flow together in every scene as well as the sound track and cinematography. it really gives off an 80s feel

to be honest, remember the 80's cheeze shows? Magnum P.I. and Miami Vice? those shows, i think, put Ferrari permanently in every young boy's psyche. The 308GT and Daytona (even though it was a C3 Corvette underneath)... beautiful cars. And then, the Testarossa when it was still badass.
