My first post and introduction. I have been urbexing for years. I have been lurking this forum for a while and decided to join a few weeks ago. Here are a some pics of a trip to an abandoned slaughter house in southeastern North Carolina (which sounds like a lot of directions, but really isn't) a friend and I went to a couple of years ago. Thanks for looking. 1.

We knew we were going to have to cross a creek. What we didn't know was that the creek would be about twelve feet wide and eight feet deep. Luckily we had found a block of Styrofoam in the woods. 3.

A room full of airline seat? 5.
This room was pitch black. There was another room like this about twice the size. 6.
A large smoker. 7.
Not sure my my camera took this picture like this. 8.
This hallway was pitch black. 9.

Me taking a picture of an old Toledo scale. 11.

Not sure why we didn't check out what was up that ladder.

The Styrofoam was a lucky find, and it was hilarious. We had to pull it out of some small trees that had started growing through it. The when my friend paddled across, he kicked it to me, but the current started carrying it downstream and I had to run through thorny vines to catch it. Then I paddled across and let the Styrofoam go and he yelled to catch it because we were on a little island in the stream (it is okay if you are singing right now). I ran through the trees and caught it and paddled around the bottom of the island when he told me that it was okay because we were actually on a little peninsula.

Theater arranged airline seats facing an unknown direction. That is where they slaughtered the animals.
Winning is temporary but looking cool is forever! Stay Fresh! |
