I recently got a GoPro and have been meaning to fashion a mount for it in my car, mainly to use as evidence if I am in an accident and not at fault (it has a mode where it will record x minutes of video and overwrite in real time). Even though it's a super wide view lens, if I put it on the dash it doesn't capture as much peripheral view as I'd like. Other than strapping it to my forehead, I might need to suspend it from the dome light somehow.

my nephew has a GoPro for snowboarding and for use on his dirtbike... and won't let me use it.
I have two GoPro cameras. I use them both for snowboarding, atv, sleds and of course in my car. My car has a sunroof so the supplied picture was taken with a suction cup mount onto the glass for the sunroof. I've never had the suction cup fall off and I've never had any other problems with the cameras.
Yeah, I affixed a cheapsie GumCam to the front of my Fiero awhile ago with decent results, save for the shit battery life... cut-out before I got to Dixie Square. At least it saved the video up until then.
Now I'm eyeing one of these for driving and roller coaster videos.

We got a couple of GoPros at work, but the most exciting footage they take is of med students with iPads.
“We are not going to have the kind of cooperation we need if everyone insists on their own narrow version of reality. … the great divide in the world today … is between people who have the courage to listen and those who are convinced that they already know it all.”
