http://www.cbs8.co...rong-way-dui-crash This shit always sucks, and there are hundreds of these incidents in the news every year, every day, every night. Alcohol and driving do not mix.

This type of incident happens much more often than it needs to. Ive had to avoid drunks going the wrong way on the interstate more times than anyone should have to. Not sure why the hell they end up on the wrong side but it happens quite a bit. The VW and anyone in it did not stand a chance against the pickup. And it is a tragedy that the one to survive is always who caused the accident.

I'm actually surprised at the amount oaf damage that truck took in the collision. Makes me feel a little better about driving an old bug oddly.

after I read the story, I was thinking the same thing. That Silverado 2500 has to tip the scales at more that 7300lbs... moving at 70+mph, it should've gone THROUGH that Beetle. man people do stupid shit.

On average I deal with a drunk driver up here once a trip. It's crazy how many people drink and drive in ND. If it was all back roads I could care less. But the are on an interstate at 70. Crazy.

In the small town I used to live in when I was a reporter, people would get on US30 right as it left town and became a divided highway going the wrong way all the time, and not only when they were drunk, though drunkeness contributed to a lot of thm. Hell, when we were moving it, someone almost hit my father-in-law head on. It happened so often we stopped covering it unless there was a fatality. I covered several.

There are very few things I hate more than drunk driving. It is so staggeringly easy to avoid, which makes it so infuriating.
